monday funday!

you know how monday is usually one of the worst days of the week? mine wasn't! i don't know if i was still just feeling really good from the day i had sunday, but monday was just a great day! i think mondays tend to be a lot easier when you don't hate your job, too. i'm so grateful i work at infuse. seriously, it's such a blessing. i love my job, i love the people, i love what we do. it's great! there's a small group of us here that do lunch outings once a month. it's kind of a club, i guess you could say. the people in our club are some of my closest friends at work, they're truly like my brothers and sisters. they have been such a huge support to me through the big D. yesterday was the day for our march lunch outing, and we hit up a mexican joint in american fork. i can't remember what it was called, but it was delicious. carne asada tacos and mexican coke. there are few things in life that can make me happier. we also hit up the sarah lee bakery outlet where i scored a 2 pound bag of those vanilla creme wafer cookies for $4. they are now the only food in my apartment besides the 12 pack of diet coke in my fridge. i need to go grocery shopping at some point.

i decided that now that i have a lot of time to myself, i should do something constructive. i've always wanted to learn how to play the guitar, so on my way home last night i stopped at this amazing little guitar shop in provo called the great salt lake guitar co. guys, i'm telling you...this is probably the coolest shop i've ever been in. the people are super friendly and helpful, and they got me all set up with a guitar rental and lessons. i decided to rent first, just to make sure i stick with it and actually enjoy it. i played the guitar for like 3 hours last night, it was so much fun even though i had no idea what i was doing. i taught myself one of the songs out of my book though! watch out taylor swift. ha. i'm pretty excited to get started and have a new hobby! my first lesson is this saturday. wish me luck.

fhe on monday was so good! we went to one of the members of our stake presidency's house and had a wonderful lesson and played a game. 2 truths and a lie. i feel like i can never come up with anything good, these were my answers: i have never seen star wars, i have 2 brothers, i danced in the olympics. no one could believe that i've never seen star wars. ha. i fooled them! i met some really nice people last night, and the guys i rode with were super cool. i'm still feeling really good about my ward, and i just know that this is where i'm supposed to be. 

tonight i'm going to dinner with 2 of my old co-workers from bard. one of which i haven't seen in almost a year! it should be fun to catch up. the people at bard are the only thing i miss. i wish i could have brought all my friends with me. :)
