what a wednesday

happy wednesday, people! we're halfway through the week. the days seem like they're flying by! i can't believe it's already march 14th. speaking of which, march madness is upon us. guys, this time of year is my favorite. i seriously don't understand how people can't get into it. how can you not?! i've filled out 2 brackets...one for work and one for my ward. i never do well on my choices, but it's still fun. also, did you watch the byu/iona game last night? it was intense! i got together with people in my ward, and we had a blast. such a good game. well, the second half anyway. the people in my ward are a ton of fun...i feel like i totally fit in, which is something i was really worried about. what a relief!
moving on now. since the weather has been so beautiful lately, i've got the golfing bug. i sent an email to my co-workers to see if anyone would be interested in heading to the driving range, and me and two others headed out today for lunch. i've always loved golf, though i've never been great at it. i'm decent, but molly was always the one that excelled at the sport. no surprise there. she excels and pretty much everything....let me tell ya, the talent didn't get spread very thin in our family. she's better than me at everything. but it's ok. i'm over it. i promise. plus, i have a better personality. (that's what i say to make myself feel better about having a little sister that kicks my trash at everything. literally, everything.) anyhow...we had a great time at the driving range. want some pics? ok, here you go.
palo de golf (i think that's spanish for golf club, but don't quote me on that)
we started on the putting green, which is where i struggle most. still, it was fun. that's all that matters right?
matchy matchy
my shoes matched my putter. how cute.
that's not my real stance, in case you were wondering
i was killing it with my driver. seriously, i kind of impressed myself. take that molly. one of the guys i went with (we'll keep his identity under wraps, cause this might embarrass him) broke two clubs today. the heads went flying, in both cases, the head went further than the ball. it was rather impressive really. better luck next time. haha.
second guitar lesson tonight, and institute. i'm heading to idaho this weekend to watch an alumni basketball tournament and hang out with some old friends. should be good times.
