weekend recap

hope you guys all had a fabulous weekend. mine was great. very relaxing. i went to idaho. again. this time of year is my favorite in idaho. everything is turning green, there are fabulous sunsets, it's warm but not too warm. i just love it. so beautiful. it really makes me want to ride horses. i wish my family had a farm. you know what else it makes me want to do? go camping. i've got a major case of spring fever. the recap....

friday: headed up to the gem state. molly and i were put in charge of babysitting ayden friday night and saturday. by the time i got there on friday, he had been alone with molly for a few hours. during which he got into a mouse trap. but we don't need to discuss that, do we molls? oh, he also drank olive oil while on her watch. again, we won't talk about it. molly went out on the town and left me and ayden to chill for the night. my friend came over to hang for a bit. we watched basketball. and friends. it was fun. 

saturday: watched conference. i love conference weekend. there's something about listening to the voices of church leaders that just makes me feel good. we used to get together with cousins to watch, but this time it was just me molls and ayden. in between sessions we went to lunch and spent some time out in the sunshine visiting with our second mom, leslie. she brought sadie along with her, and ayden couldn't get enough. how cute is this?

after lunch we went for a short little drive to take in the beauty of idaho, then we went home to watch the afternoon session of conference. saturday night i went to dinner with some high school friends to celebrate keighty's birthday. it's always so much fun to catch up with those gals. i just love my friends.

sunday: we tuned in to two more sessions of conference, which were both great. my favorite part of conference was listening to the choir. like i said before, music just does something to me. hearing motab sing "come thou fount" sent chills down my spine. there were lots of great messages shared this weekend. i'll post more about that later. after conference we spent the night writing a song. let's face it, molls is the glue that holds this "band" together. hannah and i just pretend like we know what we're doing, but it's still fun. molls is coming to spend the week with me so we're going to record our work and i'll post it on here to see what ya'll think! ayden wanted to get in on the music making as well. as you can tell, he's just thrilled.

tonight for fhe we're watching the ncaa championship game. should be fun. i'm looking forward to a good week! hope you are too.
