weekend recap

i had such a good weekend! i hope you all did as well. i feel like i was going non-stop, which is just how i like it! i'm going to keep this post short and sweet, because i have something super exciting to write about later today. 

friday: took third place in the chili cook-off. i was really hoping for first, but oh well. it was still fun! friday after work, my friend amy and her sister came to provo to see my apartment and come to my softball game. we grabbed dinner and headed to the park, where shaline and her little brother met us. it was freezing cold, and our game started about 45 minutes late, but they were troopers! it was a lot of fun, and we won...of course. 

saturday: met up with marianne, her sister, and her sister's friend to run the "color me rad" 5k. it was a lot of fun. we pretty much ended up walking the whole thing because there were so many people, and we had a lot to talk about...but still, fun. (believe me, i wasn't disappointed that we couldn't really run. i hate running)  afterwards we got ready for the day and headed to SLC to do a little shopping. we visited the new citycreek center, which was really cool. this is the first time i've spent an entire day with marianne, and it did not disappoint. we saw each other at our hangriest (hunger leads to anger, which = hangry). good thing citycreek has a rad food court. red iguana?! yes please. after citycreek we met up with our friend syd and headed to the salt lake bees (or salt lake zzzzzs if you prefer) game. we met up with some guys that marianne knows, and it was pretty fun.

sunday: went to church, which was awesome as usual. i have to give a talk in june. i don't know why they assign these things so early...i'm going to stress about it for weeks, but it will be good for me. i sat out in the sun with kate afterwards, and played a lot of guitar. i also got a good nap in...which doesn't happen often. it was a nice, relaxing sunday. i also had an "aha moment" sunday night, which is what i'm going to talk about in my next post.
